List-Building: You Need To Get Out There And Do The Split!

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 9:07 pm on Monday, March 31, 2008

Your goal as a marketer is really to monetize your site as quickly and as easily as possible, and in the process, build your list along the way.

There are all sorts of different ways to think about doing this.

If you’re an AdSense publisher, it might be smarter to have AdSense only after people subscribe to your list. And, it might be smarter only to show the AdSense after people have told a friend.

Do you see why?

The reason is because if you don’t have these people on your list and if they are not telling friends, then you can’t ever monetize those people again. They visit your site and then leave and go to the AdSense ad site, and forget join your list. If they are on your list, you can monetize them over and over again with ways that are much more impactful than AdSense.

Until they subscribe, don’t show the AdSense because people might be turned off by it and not join your list. Or, like I said, there are all sorts of different ways to think about this. Maybe when they subscribe, the AdSense disappears because you already captured their names and addresses for your list, and then you can follow up on and make recommendations on products that they would benefit from. Test these!

Maybe do an A/B split test, where one page has AdSense and the other doesn’t. See which one works best, and then go with it. But keep testing. Test your headline; test your subscribe button. You can test all the elements of your page–one test at a time. For instance, don’t change your headline and the opt-in button at the same time. You won’t know which prompted the viewer to join your list.

Here’s the thing: When it comes to implementing marketing strategies, don’t take too much time to do them before you test them. Then if they don’t work, you took a lot of time to think about something that didn’t work.

I would recommend that you send out a press release, today, or at least first thing in the morning to drive traffic to your squeeze page, which should lead to your sales letter or the sales letter of the product you’re promoting. A press release about your new site will get some traffic.

You also want to use pay-per-click. The reason you want to use pay-per-click is before you find list members and everything else, you can check your conversions and see how everything works. I would use pay-per-click and get rolling with that right away.

You know, whatever your budget is: $5, $10, $100, or $2,000, whatever it is, spend that. You want to go low. You can spend $5 to $10 a day. Focus on split testing and tweaking the squeeze page and the sales page until you get it making money for you on $10 a day.

The whole thing is… Don’t Wait! Take action immediately and don’t let anything stop you. If your squeeze page sucks, you can make changes to it, until it doesn’t suck anymore. Yet, it’s out there the whole time, getting some response. If you had nothing working for you, you’d be no further in buiding your list.

Root Keywords Are Key To SEO Efforts

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 8:38 pm on Monday, March 31, 2008

Whether you are just starting out with search engine optimization or an old pro, keyword research is the foundation upon which top rankings are built and root keywords are the most important.

Root Keywords Are Key To SEO Efforts

Keywords, keywords, keywords - the term used so often in search engine optimization that it can get a bit overwhelming at times. What exactly are keywords? How do I find them? How do I use them? Why is the term spelled keywords instead of key words? Ah, there are so many questions we can go into. Of course, we should talk about something far more important.

The key to keyword research is focusing on the key word. How is that for a sentence? Okay, now for something understandable. When identifying terms you wish to use in the optimization effort for your site, you must look to the base word of the area you are researching. That probably is not much better, so here is an example.

Assume I am researching the keywords for an online internet marketing company, to wit, the site promoted with this article. Should I type in “online internet marketing” into my favorite research tool? No! By doing so, I limit myself to finding only those keywords that contain these three words. Taking this approach, I would even miss the basic term “internet marketing.” Obviously, I have not focused on the root word of my research.

Returning to my research tool, I should go ahead and find all the words for “internet marketing”, right? No! Doing so will return more keyword phrases, but I am still limiting myself to only those phrases that contain the two words. In this case, I will miss out on phrases related to “internet advertising” or “online marketing” and so on. By taking this approach, I have followed the seo herd and missed out on some juicy opportunities.

The best approach to the above scenario is to research two words first - “internet” and “marketing”. Do them separately and then work your way into the various combination of words that will appear. These are your root words. Bow before them. Treat them nicely. Research them and you might just find some massive traffic with low competition, the stuff of dreams!

There is a tendency in seo to by into the hype of going niche. Yes, certain situations definitely call for focusing on a very defined niche. When doing your keyword research, however, always start with the root words. They will lead you to the niche you can make money in.

How To Dig Google Adsense Gold: Part 2 of 15 (Custom Report)

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 5:15 pm on Monday, March 31, 2008

In this second part of “How To Dig Google Adsense Gold” guide, we’ll discuss custom reports and how they can used to your advantage. Custom reports for google adsense is a pretty common known feature but do we really know what it is? After all it gives you the opportunity to track everything from ad units to impressions and even data over time accumulated and right to your mailbox. Used wisely with google adsense custom reports can increase your cash by telling you exactly what is going on and when it’s going on. Not to mention eliminating the hustle of checking your google account in order to track your earnings let’s say per week.

Getting Started

Log into your google adsense account. And go to the “advanced reports” under the “reports” tab. There choose the settings you want your new report to be and press “Display Report”. There on the right middle side there should be a box and enter your new custom report name and press save. Now keep in mind that whatever settings you had on to show the report are the ones that it’s going to use. From there you can go to the “report manager” tab, under “reports” yet again, and there you can change the frequency say weekly, monthly whatever you feel like. Here also you can choose the email it shall be sent to, and the google adsense folks did us one even better you can choose which format the report will be in CVS or CVS-EXCEL. That’s it you are all done but what do you do with this new found knowledge? Well read on…

Let’s Play Diary Keeper

Custom reporting isn’t just a sport or just a way to get your weekly earnings it’s much better than that. I am going to show you a method I use to keep tract of things going on in my many all about google adsense campaigns. First create a folder on your computer. Name it “Google Adsense Log” or something close. Next inside the folder name a new folder with a weekly name say “Sept-14-to-21″ this way you know what time frame it is. Next go inside the folder and in there save a text file, but not just any normal text file I want you to put in all the details of your google adsense ad units. From color to placement everything covered in my channels article. Now that you know what time frame and what the ads you are you know everything about what you did with your google adsense units. Save that file to that corresponding folder. And at the end of the week save the CVS file you get to that folder. This way you not only have what you did but the fruits of your labor as well. You can use this for a month each time creating anew folder for a new week to see with things you tried worked best. Now this assumes you don’t change your google adsense ad units during the weeks, and just wait for a new week to try something new. At the end of the month you can decide which methods worked to bring you more revenue. This is just one of the many ways you can use google adsense custom reporting to your advantage.

Freeze!

Many of us have experienced events when our google adsense revenue either jumps up really high or goes to zip. We stand mouth wide wondering what we did wrong or right. Well with custom reporting you can see just that. If you use them right and keep up with teach week you can see exactly what you did or what one of your visitors did to bring about such a change.

Good Investments

Using google adsense custom reports will give you all the previously stated advantages but there is more. How many of you have thought about selling your websites? Say it’s getting to hard to keep up with, or you don’t have enough time anymore. Well think about your custom reports and being used as proof of the kind of google adsense earnings a potential client will. After all they stay in your google adsense account so you have proof that those really are the correct stats of your ad units. Adding just one more thing to entice your buyers.

Thank You

What’s the point of knowledge if you can’t share it? Didier Ntwali says let’s share and all be happy. Through All About Google Adsense and precharge projectnet or http://www.seocontestentry.com/ spreading the word on all new SEO techniques has never been easier.

Why Do Most People Who Try Affiliate Marketing Fail?

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 8:29 am on Monday, March 31, 2008

Isn’t affiliate marketing great? You get to sleep late, sit around all day, and only occasionally have to pop over to the computer to check how much money you’ve made in the last hour. A job anyone would kill for.

Except that that’s not quite the truth.

Many of you will have a rather different experience of affiliate marketing - one involving lost money, scams, and endless frustration when the profits you were told you would make just never appear. Others will never have got to that stage, but they’ll still have the same feeling: that all affiliate marketers are scammers, selling a dream that is impossible for most to achieve.

If you’re feeling like that, stop it. Because it’s not true. Affiliate marketing is difficult. But it’s not impossible, and not all the ‘gurus’ are scammers. Some are genuine, and really will help you, if you let them. It is possible to succeed.

So why do most wannabe affiliate marketers fail?

1. They give their money to scammers who then give them useless information.

Many scammers, after they’ve taken your money, will offer a cheap e-book to download. Sometimes this is stolen from another site, but more often it’s something they’ve written in twenty minutes when they remembered that they needed to offer people something. That means it will be filled with useless information that the scammer probably knows nothing about - and if you try to follow it, you might soon conclude that affiliate marketing is impossible and you were a fool for even trying.

2. They don’t have enough patience.

It takes time for the money to start coming in. You need to build up a steady stream of traffic and a mailing list before you can think about earning serious cash. When they only earn a few dollars a day, or fail to receive the thousands they were expecting, many people get disillusioned and decide that they’re better off with the day job.

3. They don’t follow the instructions properly.

I know. Why would you spend your money on an affiliate marketing course only to ignore what it says? But people do. They think they know better than the pros who have been doing this for years. And they usually end up making a mess of it, losing money on unprofitable advertising techniques that don’t work. But, of course, they don’t blame themselves and go back to try to work out where they went wrong. They blame the course they bought, and decide it must have been sold by a scammer - a scammer, like everyone else who claims they make a living affiliate marketing!

4. They think they’re not clever or skilled enough.

Normally, they’re wrong. Affiliate marketing really is very simple. You need intelligence and initiative to become one of the top affiliates, yes - but if you just want to earn some extra money, all you need to do is follow instructions. Buy an affiliate marketing course and do what it says. Too many people sit there and think ‘I can’t’.

5. They decide it’s too much work.

They get taken in by the promises that they can make money going to the cinema, watching TV, washing their hair. In truth, there’s a bit of work to do before you get to that stage - like setting up a website and promoting it, for starters! As soon as they realise that it’s not going to be as easy as they thought, they give up. The truth is, there’s no such thing as money you don’t have to work for (lottery winners excluded!).

Did you notice anything these five reasons have in common?

All of them involve people giving up.

Whatever the reason, if you give up, you’re not going to become a successful affiliate marketer. Fact is, nothing worth having is easy. Being an affiliate marketer is worth it - not just the money, but the excitement of seeing your list grow and traffic rise. And it’s not easy. Most affiliate marketers had to work hard and experienced plenty of failure along the way. You’ve got to be ready for that as well.

Most wannabe affiliate marketers fail because most affiliate marketers give up. You make sure you’re not one of them.

A Quick Guide To Writing A Marketing Plan

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 5:07 am on Monday, March 31, 2008

A well thought out game plan is a winning strategy in any battle! Your business is no less than a battle too, in which your competitors are trying to outsmart you every moment. To win this war, you need a game plan for your business. In other words, you need a marketing plan.

A marketing plan is a highly researched, well-written document which details all marketing actions necessary to achieve business objectives. It could be for a product, service, brand or a product line. From time to time, you need to stand back and see if your plan is working, and whether your day to day activities are aligned with it.

So let us begin with the basics of writing a marketing plan:

1. Title page - This must include the name of your company and the management team which is instrumental in developing strategies.

2. Executive summary - This is a quick overview of the main points in your plan. Although the summary comes first, it is best written last. This will ensure that you have not overlooked something and that your plan makes sense.

3. Current situation - Here, you need to analyze both the macro environment as well as the current market situation. The macro environment analysis will give you an insight into the economy, and larger legal and technical aspects that can impact your business. The current market situation will throw light on the potential market segment, competitor landscape, industry structure etc.

4. Consumer behavior - Present an analysis of your customers’ demographic profile and buying habits, talk about key motivators, loyalty segments and similar issues.

5. Company analysis - This is your chance to do some blah blah on your company. Just kidding! Analyze the internal situation of the company in terms of its vision and mission, long-term business objectives, short term goals, resource position etc. This is also an appropriate place to do a thorough SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis. This will help you identify the sustainable competitive advantages of your company, and also understand the key success factors for your business.

6. Market research - This chapter describes the process of data collection, method of analysis and key findings.

7. Marketing strategy - Step 1 - discuss product mix, product life cycle management, brand name, brand image etc. Step 2 - analyze market share by products, customer segments and geography Step 3 - it’s all about money, honey! this is where you talk pricing strategy Step 4 - share your advertising and promotion plans Step 5 - put down your ideas about how you will distribute our product.

8. Implementation - discuss the nitty-gritty out here. Chart out resource requirements, key deliverables, time frame and other issues related to implementation.

9. Financial summaries - include projections of income, break-even analysis, and payback period. List assumptions clearly.

10. Outlook - this contains predictions for the future and plans of action for alternative scenarios, if any.

11. Appendix - include all supporting material, tables and data.

Finally, we’ll leave you with a thought - if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail!

Earn Money on Google AdSense using these Three Proven Strategies

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 8:19 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2008

Google AdSense is a great program that Internet businesses can utilize to make money. If you want to earn a significant amount of money through Google AdSense then read on. You will learn three proven strategies that will optimize your Google AdSense earnings.

Following are three ways to make money using Google AdSense:

1. Add more messages in your email sequence that is driving customers to your website pages that have Google AdSense advertisements. Increasing the frequency of your email messages will provide more chances for Internet visitors to click on your Google AdSense advertisements.

2. Send out a mass email, solo broadcast. Send out an email to drive traffic to your website page that contains the Google AdSense advertisements. Increase the amount of subscribers you have on your list.

3. Increase the amount of money you earn from the advertisements. For example, certain keywords cost more money in Google Adwords. Therefore, you can write articles that contain these high value keywords. You will earn more money through Google AdSense with these higher quality keywords.

Another strategy you can use is to place the keywords in your Title tag. The first 250 words on your website is the second most important piece of information. Write a line then insert a double space. Place keywords in this space. Highlight the keywords so that it is white. This will cause the keywords to blend into the background. Do not use this for search engine marketing! It will hurt you in search engine optimization. It is only used to increase the price you earn from Google Advertisements. The Google spiders see these keywords. However, the human eye will not detect the keywords.

How do you find the high paying keywords? Use www.highpayingkeywords.com. This service provides you a quarterly listing of the high paying keywords. The service costs you money. However, it is a good investment because Google will not give information about the high paying keywords.

Tip: When you communicate with your list, you need to provide relevant content. Don’t just send poor content as filler. Don’t just send an article or email message to provide Google AdSense exposure. You need to provide content that is a benefit for your subscriber list.

How many emails should you send? You can send as many emails as you want. Sending out various emails is at your discretion. If you send out several emails per week it may annoy some of your subscribers. However, these subscribers can be deleted. You want to send out as many emails as you need because they are bound to bring in more orders for your product or service. Plus, it increases the amount of money you earn through Google AdSense if your subscribers click on the Google AdSense advertisements.

Your New Best Internet Marketing Buddy - Viral Marketing

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 4:57 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2008

Marketing on the web has some unique attributes that general marketing cannot necessarily enjoy. Something called viral marketing, which can refer to anything from branding to backend sales to word of mouth advertising, is prevalent on the Internet. Viral marketing can be incredibly lucrative. The value of viral marketing is of such import that examples abound everywhere on the Internet.

One of the greatest ways to build confidence in a product or service is through word of mouth advertising. Most people believe that this is only possible in real, live, face-to-face conversations, but that is just not true. With the prevalence of text messaging, blogs, instant messages, and emails, word of mouth advertising can actually be achieved via the Internet. After all, the bulk of communication, particularly for younger people, has moved online. This is but one example of the value of viral marketing. Advertisers tapping into this vast network of potential customers can attest to its the success.

One of the ways in which you accomplish viral marketing is through entertainment on the web. Video vignettes, games, etc., that are being shared with millions of users often have advertising attached. Therefore, the value of viral marketing can be recognized by those who know that literally millions of people are being reached by this form of publicity. Consider also the exponential effects of passing along an email to everyone in an inbox. If one person sends a message to ten, and of those, five pass it along to another ten, and so forth, then, in a matter of days, an immeasurable number of people will have received advertisements from people they know! Therein lies the value of viral marketing.

Similarly, backend sales are a great way to realize the value of viral marketing. Backend sales refer to sales to existing customers. In essence, once you have established a good relationship with a satisfied customer, they are likely to be willing to purchase more from you, a trusted source. Likewise, branding is another great example of this type of marketing. Once a consumer recognizes a brand that can be trusted and relied upon, they are more likely to come back for more. They are also more likely in both of these instances to tell their friends how much they enjoy your products - which, of course, is word of mouth advertising or viral marketing.

So you see, the value of viral marketing can be realized through a number of avenues. Whether it is through word of mouth, backend sales, or branding, the value of viral marketing cannot be discounted, as it is a veritable cornucopia of opportunity for the online marketer.

Theresa Cahill and Jeff Greer invite you to educate yourself in the highly profitable arena of viral marketing. Visit http://www.moltenmarketing.com for more info.

Have We Really Seen The Death Of Article Marketing?

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 8:11 am on Sunday, March 30, 2008

Article marketing has been an effective method of website promotion that has literally been used since the inception of the public Internet. I have been online since November of 1995, and even in those early days, I would read people’s articles and click the link in their resource box to learn more about their website.

The Early Days of Article Marketing

In those early days, there were a few players who recognized the value of article marketing. The two writers who were most influential to my use of article marketing, as a promotion method, were:

* Dr. Nunley (http://www.DrNunley.com) has been online since 1996, and this website was registered in Oct. of 1997. Dr. Nunley was influential in that he taught me the power of syndicated article content. * Wild Bill Montgomery (http://www.MakingProfit.com) started his website in Nov. of 1998. Wild Bill offered one of the very first article distribution websites. I received his daily mailings for nearly a year, until he shut his article system down. I subscribed to Wild Bill’s mailings, so that I could locate articles for my own publication and website, and later to distribute my own articles.

It was in the aftermath of the demise of Montgomery’s article distribution system that I wrote my first script to enable me to make better use of this promotional method for my own articles. That original script was adapted later to became the foundation for my article distribution service a couple years later.

How Article Marketing Came To Be Regarded As A Powerful Tool

For several years, article marketing remained a promotion technique utilized only by a few hundred people who fancied themselves as decent to good writers. These individuals were able to generate quite a buzz for their own websites. The buzz in turn created streams of traffic to their websites, and more importantly, sales.

Their articles were picked up regularly by ezines, which need good content to retain the attention of their readers. Publication of the articles in ezines resulted in thousands of website visitors in just a few days. My biggest ezine publication event resulted in 16,000 visitors in the first 96 hours after publication. I regularly see thousands of visitors in three-to-four days, due to publication in individual ezines.

Articles that I had written in 1999 still reside on websites where they were originally published those many years ago. And, I still see regular traffic from the placement of those articles. Yes, and I still retain link popularity and good search engine rankings, as the result of the placement of those articles on third-party websites.

Many writers were seeing the same results as I had seen, and they told others about their great success. People began to pay attention and take advantage of the technique for their own promotion.

A New Breed Of Article Marketers

In late 2004, the market changed when people decided that the only goal of article marketing was for the purpose of link building for link popularity purposes.

A few new distribution systems popped up only targeting placement of articles on third-party websites. With these new systems, the article writers had to put their own articles into the distribution services database, and they had to select a general category for the placement of their articles.

Suddenly, with these new fully automated systems, computers were left to answer the most important question of category placement. These new systems left this important question to the computers to solve.

People were being removed from the article placement process, because people cost more money to employ, leaving a lot of results to chance. But, the new breed of article marketers did not care. They liked the lower cost of human-free article placement.

The Four Primary Players in of a Successful Article Marketing Campaign

There are four primary players in the article marketing game. First of course is the writer. Then there is the distribution person or service. Third is the website owner or ezine publisher. And the final element is the person who will read the article and act upon what they read in the article.

Sometimes the writer is the same person as the distribution person. That is fine. The website owner or ezine publisher is actually the most important person in the link building process, because he or she wants to be sure that the fourth person, the reader, will be happy with what they are publishing.

Believe it or not, the website owners and the ezine publishers are frequently very selective about what articles they are willing to accept from a writer or distribution service. After all, if the readers are not happy with what is published on the website or ezine, then the reader will not feel a need to return to either one. Webmasters and ezine publishers, who are committed to success, will be even more selective in their article choices.

To see what website owners really think of many of the automated article distribution systems, read this: http://www.articledashboard.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4679

Any writer or article marketer, who does not pay attention or consider the needs or desires of webmasters or publishers in the process, is condemning their article marketing campaigns to failure.

Twisted Logic

When this new breed of article marketer began showing up at my article distribution service, I found myself in many strangely na?ve conversations.

People would enquire about the value of our service. Naturally, I would mention publication in ezines as a method of driving thousands of targeted visitors to their website. Then I would mention the value of links on third-party websites, which results in the double benefit of targeted traffic from the third-party website and link popularity for search engine rankings.

Frequently, people would tell me that they literally “do not care about placement of their articles in ezines.” They continued to explain that they were only interested in placement on third-party websites for the purpose of influencing their search engine rankings.

Wow! Every time I heard someone make this claim, I would think to myself about the shortsightedness of this approach. In my experience, link popularity and search rankings were a long-term benefit, and the publication of an article in an ezine is what was generating the most immediate and largest amount of click-through traffic to my websites.

But, who am I? I am just some guy who had been using this marketing technique for five years at that time, and I was a person who had been providing distribution services to other writers for several years. Why would anyone want to hear my thoughts on the subject?

The Proclaimed Death of Article Marketing as an Effective Promotion Tool

I have been hearing rumors for years of the death of article marketing as an effective marketing tool. Here are a couple samples:

* Dmitri Davydov proclaimed in June of 2007 that “‘article marketing’ has been long dead.” (http://www.nichegeek.com/article_marketing_is_it_dead_yet) * In May of 2007, a few people in this forum thread declared that article marketing does not work, one of them just a little more vehemently than the rest (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=338394).

What I find somewhat funny and disconcerting at the same time is that most of the people making this proclamation actually admit that they have only tried article marketing with “one or two articles”. In their wisdom, you should ignore people like me who have seen success with this promotion method, and you should follow their advice to abandon all hope for article marketing as a method for website promotion.

I have asked a few people to better define the status of article marketing:

1. Does article marketing not work? Or, 2. Did article marketing just not work for them?

The Nail in the Paid Links Coffin

On April 14th, 2007, the Google Guy (Matt Cutts) spoke out against paid links. A firestorm of complaints from webmasters followed Cutts’ initial comments.

On June 12th, 2007, Cutts’ original comments became official Google policy as shown here (http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/06/more-ways-for-you-to-give-us-input.html)

Vanessa Fox of Google summed up the issue very succinctly, “Links that are purchased are great for advertising and traffic purposes, but aren’t useful for PageRank calculations. Buying or selling links to manipulate results and deceive search engines violates (Google’s) guidelines.”

Confusion Ensues Over Paid Links

With Google officially stomping on “paid links,” a lot of confusion entered into the marketplace. The confusion really hinges on one simple question: What kinds of links does Google consider to be paid links?

Many people have extrapolated Google’s campaign against “paid links” to suggest that anytime someone pays money for a link building activity, then the links created during that activity will be construed by Google as a paid link, and that link will be discounted or ignored by Google. But, that simply is not the case.

Some have even chosen to lump “article marketing” as a “paid link”, thereby decreeing that article marketing is truly and finally dead.

But all one has to do to gain a different point of view is to listen to Matt Cutts’ comments from the SMX Search Marketing Expo in Seattle on June 4th, 2007 (http://videos.webpronews.com/2007/06/04/smx-seattle-matt-cutts-on-duplicate-and-paid-search/).

Within this video, Matt Cutts said, “If you are going to syndicate your content, try to make sure people know that you are the master or source of it. You can do it with a link from the article or link from the video, or stuff like that…”

The End of Article Marketing As We Knew It…

I don’t know about you, but I read Cutts’ last comment above as an indication that Google still considers article marketing to be a valid and Google-approved method of building links to one’s website.

But, no matter how we cut it, we have in fact passed “the end of article marketing as we once knew it.” Here is why:

* Some people will never have the chance to read this article and make their own mind about whether what I say has merit, or not. * Some people will simply trust the fear mongers who have been trying to declare article marketing dead for years. * And, some people will decide that they are not willing to take the chance that I might be right.

Going forward, we will see a fewer people using article marketing as a promotion technique.

The fact is that many people have quit using article marketing as a promotion technique. This outcome will only strengthen the hand of those of us who continue to utilize article marketing to promote our websites. After all, with fewer people using articles to market their websites, we will have fewer writers to compete with, in order to get attention for our own articles.

Making Money On The Net, Really?

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 4:49 am on Sunday, March 30, 2008

Throughout the web, you will find hundreds of business opportunities. From selling coffee to selling cars, you’ll find hundreds of things that you have the opportunity to get into to make money. Yet, it is sad to report to you that on average, 70% of all new home based businesses will fail within the first three years that they are out there. Now, before you get discouraged, realize that they do this because of several reasons.

1. They are poorly executed, by individuals that are looking for a get rich quick scheme and realize that, well; it takes work to make money.

2. They are scams that were un-researched, poorly designed or just plain old dumb to start with.

3. The individuals that got into them didn’t have the income to put into the business to make the business work.

With that said, there are some excellent things that you can do to actually make an income from home. You will likely need to invest something in it (you don’t get something for nothing!) and you’ll have to invest time in making it work well.

Here are some things that you can do in brief.

Affiliate Marketing

This is an easy to understand concept. You’ll design a website that is geared at selling someone else’s product. You get a cut for the sales that are made because someone that came to your website makes a purchase. Often, you get a kickback even if they just visit the site. This is one of many programs that you can usually do together to make even more money. In other words, pair it up with other business opportunities and you are sure to see some profit.

Selling Readymade Products

For those that are looking to sell a product that someone else has made, check out these. Often, these are sold by the development of a website that promotes the product. Things like digitalized products or software are very hot sellers. People come to your website to learn about the product and you sell it to them or provide a link to where they can purchase it. In most cases, you get a commission like payment for doing this.

Think you can’t just sell products online anymore? You can. In fact, you’ll even be able to find products that are below cost and sell them with a good mark up as well.

Writing And Selling Ebooks

People come to the internet to get information. Why not sell it to them? If you have knowledge (or can get it) about a topic that others want to learn about, you can easily tap into this business market. All you need to do is to write an ebook (or have it written by a professional) and market it. This can be done through eBay or through hundreds of other methods.

Joint Venture

You can often team up your sales with others that are selling the same or similar products. By working together, you can hit a larger amount of people and pull in more sales. A joint venture usually splits the commission made as well as the cost of doing business.

Ecourse

Are you able to teach an individual something? If so, then you should write up an ecourse. This is simply a series of emails, of website information or any other medium that is used to teach or coach an individual. You simply provide information they want and they pay you to do it.

Teleseminars

If you are a good speaker and have information to sell (or that you can obtain) then teleseminars are the way to go. You simply provide a conference call where individuals can call in and listen to what you are teaching them. Of course, they paid you first.

Public Domain Products

Little did you know that you could use material that is labeled as public domain to help enhance your business. Team this up with other types of marketing and you are sure to sell your product.

Directory or Review Websites

By creating websites where individuals go to receive a product or service, you are opening the door to making profits. Team this up with things like affiliate marketing and Google Adsense and you’ll see an income.

Membership Sites

Develop a membership of individuals that are looking for your products or information. They will pay you monthly to use your service.

Ezines

One of the fastest growing ways of marketing on the web, you simply put together an online form of a magazine or newspaper and sell it. You can also give it away free and fill it with ads to your products or website campaign.

EBay

Learn how to make money on eBay one of the world’s largest auction websites. You can make an income, not just a few dollars if you develop a campaign to do so.

Blogs

Blogs work well on websites. By providing information there about your products or attracting individuals back to your blog, you can promote the products on your website easier.

Google Adsense

Normally individuals pair up Google Adsense with other marketing campaigns to sell their products. This is a way of getting a few extra profits when individuals visit ads that are on your website.

Podcasting

In the digital age, people are looking to stay connected all the time. With podcasting, you can sell your product or service or you can actually build a casting such as a radio show that goes out around the world.

Amazon Book Reseller

If you have books lying around your house that you would like to get rid of, you can become listed on Amazon as a reseller. Unlike eBay this is not an auction site. It’s a great way to sell books that you don’t need. (You can also find free or really cheap ones to sell if you don’t have any!)

Opinion Panels

Why not take a few surveys and make money? There are many survey websites on the web that do actually pay you a good deal of money to take them. Once you find them, its easy sailing here.

Conclusion

Making money online can happen. You have to make the right decision about doing so though. You’ll need to find the business that fits into your life and your needs. Then, you’ll need to learn how to do the business, what it takes and the tricks of the trade. If you can learn this, you can buy it to learn throughout the web. From a little stream to a full time income, the internet is full of ways you can make money.

Google Pay Per Click

Filed under: Uncategorized — makemoneyonline49 at 8:04 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2008

When advertising with pay per click Google gives the advertiser two broad options. Advertising in search results, advertising in websites content or indeed many choose to do both. Advertising in search means that results are displayed in Google under searches, and in its distributors search results. Google content advertising applies to those websites who choose to incorporate “Adsense” into their websites. As adsense rapidly expands, it is now viewable on millions of web pages throughout the web. However, many advertisers are shunning this in favor of merely advertising in search results.

There are several reasons for this, and the first is trust. This has been a result of smaller websites, through to adsense empires choosing to embark on Click Fraud. Although this issue occurs in search it is far less dominant. Those who commit Click Fraud on search are those trying to weaken a competitor’s ROI. With Adsense the same applies, along with the website owner trying to increase his revenues using similar tactics.

Another reason why website owners are choosing to market out with content is the motivation of the buyer when he is on a website. Someone who is on a different website, other than the advertisers might be there for entirely different reasons. For example a website discussing the disadvantages of Adsense, would actually return adverts for those selling “Adsense Websites” for example. People may click on it, but they are unlikely to buy after reading a negative review. The other reason could be that the person on the adsense website was actually looking for what is the best color palette to use. The person therefore would not find the advert relevant, but might click on the advert in a care free manner.

Adsense websites are also often rejected by the advertiser because they feel it involves more administration. Checking through websites to see how relevant they are, and editing their bids to ensure they still appear on a page. With some words having a network of over 500 websites, it is surely a tedious and expensive task. Although this is the case, many also find that their Adwords account returns websites, that don’t even appear to be trying to support their keywords. The example which is ripe, are those advertising under legal phrases who appear on adsense websites “terms and conditions” and “privacy policy” pages.

Although many are rejecting content advertising, there are still those who feel it provides a similar ROI to search. A reason for this can be found through in the fact that more and more advertisers are only choosing search. As this occurs the advertiser has less competition so the price of the word reduces. Advertisers are also finding a good ROI from publisher’s websites who decide to actively promote the advertiser’s services within their content. An example of this can be realized from when someone is discussing printing services, and actually directly recommends the advertiser’s services. This is a positive move for both the publisher and the advertiser, and a good way for publishers to move forward. Despite this, publishers still have to remember, to not be too obvious in doing this, or savvy buyers will definitely calculate the publisher’s intention.

Another reason why advertisers are opting for content is to increase their scale, however this can also be done across other search engines. The fact however still exists that those who choose content advertising should choose the Google Adsense network. It is regulated far and above yahoo’s and others equivalents whilst its superior network of publishers means the advertisers will benefit from being able to spread their message through a diverse range of websites.

Despite Adsense being the best PPC content distributor, it certainly doesn’t compare to search for the advertiser. On search the leads are more qualified, more regulated, and less fraudulent. This has seen advertisers consistently choose search over content. Despite this advertiser’s should always test adsense and see if it can provide the ROI they are looking for. Some advertisers say that content provides a better return for their business than search. This varies, however in general search remains King for PPC advertisers.

You need to have optimized niche website templates for best results. You may find the best adsense templates and blog templates at www.AdsenseTemplates.com (http://www.adsensetemplates.com). They are offering 100 fresh new templates every month.
